'Storm' is my favourite album because it is so typical of my music. It is a collection of covers, some country roots and a collection of songs such as 'Ridin' out the Storm', 'Mrs Robinson', 'Fields of Gold' and 'Ticket To Ride'. The country songs feature the beautiful Slaid Cleaves track, 'Broke Down' and 'Drinkin' Days'. This is my favourite as it was recorded in 'No Sweat Studios', Coleraine and really is an example of the fine production talents of my good buddy Clive Culbertson.

‘Storm' the album from Tom Laverty, a collection of songs encompassing issues such as homelessness, drug abuse and unrequited love. The songs epitomize the harshness of life, and the fortunes of the characters who find themselves on the wrong side of the law.
After a mellow start with Slaid Cleaves ‘Broken Down', the collection unravels, gathering pace with the gutsy interpretation of Ryan Adams' ‘I Still Love You New York' to the bleak imagery of ‘Under the Bridge'.
The North Antrim singer / songwriter has honed his career over the years from the smokey bar rooms in Canada to the festival stages across the UK .
Following the warm reception to the single, ‘Ridin' Out The Storm' taken from this collection, it is hoped that ‘Storm' will show off many facets of Tom's musical repertoire which although in the country roots genre, easily crosses the line into acoustic rock.
